They Wrote the Book
This piece is for the Architecture challenge over at Three Muses. When I think of the word architecture, I think of its development and the amazing things they did throughout the ages. Where would we be now if it weren't for the ancient Greek architects?

Bit O' Honey
The tiles in the room were honey-colored. The rest of the elements just started falling into place...

Death Becomes Her
Fort Pickens, Pensacola Beach is a hauntingly interesting place. I was there recently. It's mostly underground, with mysterious hallways and arches everywhere. It's glaringly sunny outside and dark and musty inside. I felt like Geronimo's ghost was following me around, pointing out interesting things to shoot. The way the light came screaming into the small window in a photo, with that glow that comes out in "bad" pictures, inspired me to do the following:
I view death as a solitary trip we all eventually take (even if there's a bus full of us gone over a cliff), but that we have plenty of company on the other side.

Door to Forever
This is for the Doors challenge at Collage Obsession. I didn't have a good picture of a door handy, so I carved one into a brick wall.

Hats, Crowns, Wings, and Things
This is for the Hats and Crown Wings and Things challenge over at Three Muses. The people in this picture came from Deviant Scrap. It feels a little strange to me sometimes when I use images from other sources--like I'm wearing someone else's clothes. On the other hand, it's so convenient not to have to clean up a photo before using it.
The rest of the picture is from my own photos. I had to make the hat and crown in Adobe Illustrator.
